Chelsea DeAnda
Softball Pitching Instructor
Chelsea has been a pitching coach since 2005. She has also volunteered working with pitchers in the San Joaquin area while going to college. Chelsea is a graduate of University of the Pacific in Stockton, California with a degree in Communication. She has been pitching since the age of 8 years old. She accepted a full athletic scholarship from the University of the Pacific where she played all four years and graduated in 2009. Shortly after graduating she went to the Netherlands and played softball for the Twins. While giving pitching lessons she also was an assistant pitching coach at Sierra College. Chelsea now devotes full time to helping other pitchers in the Sacramento area.
Chelsea Engle's Athletic Achievements & Awards:
-2009 tallied 496 strike outs for four seasons, including 109 for 2009 season, a total which ranks No. 3 best all-time in University of the Pacific program history.
-Chelsea has secured 50 wins for UOP ranked No. 7 in University of the Pacific program history.
-2009 appeared in 137 contest ranking No. 3 all-time in University of the Pacific program history.
-2008 All Big West Conference Second Team for Pitcher at University of the Pacific.
-Big West Conference Second Team for Pitcher at University of the Pacific.
-2007 Big West Pitcher of the Week (April 9th, 2007) at University of the Pacific
-2005 Winner of the 6th Annual Sacramento River Cats “Robert K. Puglia Award for “Best of the Best” for Division I High School
-2003-2005- 3 time “ Player of the Year” Delta League
-1,100 career strikeouts at Folsom High School
